The Next Generation Leahy

As with all forces of nature, the music and energy created by The Next Generation Leahy simply cannot be contained. The drive to create music is powerful within each of the Leahy children. It has given rise to multi-instrumental talents, whose dynamic live performances have been described as “astounding” and “breath-taking.”

For the last several years, Next Generation Leahy has performed across North America, and shared the stage with the likes of The Chieftains, We Banjo 3, The Tenors, and Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy. With one CD under their belt, they are working on new material for a new CD to be released in 2019.

Belying their young ages, these siblings are all accomplished multi-instrumentalists whose live performances are filled with the high-energy, infectious music associated with the Leahy name. However, not content to play only the music of their Celtic heritage, these musicians explore many genres of music and pull influences from far and wide. Fiddle, cello, French accordion, singing, piano, and French-Canadian step-dancing serve to bring their unique style of music to life.

The music that lives in each of these young people - which is so joyful, so positive, and so rare – overflows from them and affects audiences who have witnessed something truly unique and remarkable.

October 6, 2025

“This family brings pure joy! With their amazing, natural talent and charming delivery, this up-tempo show will never be forgotten.”

Cape Breton fiddler, Natalie MacMaster

“What an absolute joy to see these young people from age 4 up to age 13 on stage performing so beautifully and playing so well together. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. When they played with us, The Next Generation Leahy simply brought the house down!”
— Paddy Moloney & The Chieftains
“The Next Generation Leahy’s concert at Westben sold out very quickly. [It] was exciting and full of energy from the first note to the last [and] had everyone clapping, tapping, and skipping home.”

The Waddington Brothers

The Waddington Brothers

  • Shelton High School Performing Arts Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The Waddington Brothers, a band of four brothers from rural North Dakota, perform what they live: music that is real to them, that takes listeners on a journey through the heart of the American West.

Seth, Ethan, Jacob, and Job Waddington skillfully blend cowboy and bluegrass music, creating a style that’s timelessly classic and yet refreshingly new and unique. With their rich, stirring vocal harmonies and instrumental versatility that ranges from hard-driving bluegrass to more mellow acoustic tones, this quartet has developed a sound that is truly as strong as it is special. And their gift for captivating an audience comes naturally to these men. Whether they’re singing about cowboys or cabins, hunting or horseback riding, ranches or Indian reservations, The Waddington Brothers share heartfelt songs that evoke feelings of warmth, appreciation, and a genuine connection to the way life was lived by our country’s pioneers.

This group shares their music as a well-polished craft: one that’s been cultivated by four siblings who have been playing and singing together their entire lives. While their performing experience together traces back to 2004, the band officially came together as The Waddington Brothers in 2019. Their musical inspiration today is drawn from many pools of influences. Their sound might be described as a mixture of traditional bluegrass, gospel music, and Western strains reminiscent of The Sons of the Pioneers. Even more accurately, though, it can be described as something brand new—something powerfully different—a breath of fresh air to their audiences, that could only be created by four brothers with such an authentic synergy and blend. And it’s been proven: in 2023 at the annual SPBGMA (Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America) Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, The Waddington Brothers took first place in the International Bluegrass Band Competition.

“We had the Waddington Brothers appear at the 16th Annual Lakes Bluegrass Festival and they greatly exceeded my expectations! The brother vocals are terrific and their musicianship is awesome. Our crowd especially enjoyed the addition of several “Cowboy” songs mixed into their sets along with the solid bluegrass. I believe we had more requests for them to come back than any other band, and that’s saying a lot! Oh, and they are really great people as well. Highly Recommended.”

Pine River, MN
